What Is Baptism?<\/strong> What does baptism mean?<\/strong> \u201cChrist died for our sins \u2026 He was buried \u2026 and He rose again,\u201d<\/em> 1 Corinthians 15:3-4. \u00a0Baptism illustrates NEW LIFE as a Christian.<\/p>\n \u201cBy our baptism then, we were buried with Him and shared His death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead\u2026 so also we may live a NEW LIFE.\u201d<\/em> Romans 6:4<\/p>\n Baptism does not make you a Christian. It is a demonstration that you already believe Jesus has died for your sins. It is important to understand that baptism does not \u201csave\u201d you. You are \u201csaved\u201d only by your faith in Jesus.<\/p>\n \u201cGod saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can\u2019t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.\u201d<\/em> Ephesians 2:8-9 (NLT)<\/p>\n To follow the example set by CHRIST (Mark 1:9) & because Christ COMMANDED it. (Matthew 28:19-20)<\/p>\n As soon as you BELIEVE! THERE IS NO REASON TO DELAY! As soon as you have decided to trust Christ with your life, you can and should be baptized.
